In Great Company was born out of a need for a service that puts you first and creates a real difference in the lives of people and those volunteering their time to give back.
The role: Laugh, chat and give purpose to someone's life through fun, friendly social visits to a persons own home, provide reliable and safe transport into the community, accompany clients to exciting events and outings, sharing your interests and hobbies, be it cards, crafting, gardening or cooking..
What does our ideal volunteer look like? Compassionate, patient, observant and a good listener, thrives on helping others, energized by interacting and engaging people, ready to smash stereotypes around aging, able and willing to travel to clients, enjoy going out and being part of a greater community, flexible availability over a six month minimum commitment, and comfortable using technology.
