Volunteers must have parenting/grandparenting experience, to be placed with families needing a little extra support. Your role will typically include: • Sharing life experiences and skills • Mentoring, befriending and supporting the client parents • Parenting support • Encouragement around a range of practical family needs

Volunteers are required to have:

• Satisfactory Police Check and Working with Children Checks • Have undertaken two interviews (one pre-course, one post-course) • Have 2 successful reference checks on file • Statutory Declaration signed, certified and on file • Have attended a Home-Start Preparation Course (8 weeks in total delivered via online and face-to-face platforms – our proposed start date for the next training is the week of Oct 4th) • To undertake an annual Flu vaccination • Ability to follow guidance regarding infection control requirements (e.g. PPE, paperwork, training etc.) as needed for the role
