Coffs Harbour - Community Group Volunteer Coordinator - Coffs Harbour and surrounds - #169056

RSPCA NSW
Logo for RSPCA NSW

RSPCA NSW is a non-government organisation. As a charity, we receive less than two per cent in regular funding from the NSW Government and zero per cent from the Federal Government. Education and fundraising is a pivotal part of our work, and we are excited to be expanding our reach with the creation of Community Volunteer Groups across the state. Help us build and grow and support local Coffs Harbour locals, their animals.

Our Community Volunteer Groups will raise awareness and funds in their local community and beyond. They will achieve this by conducting various community fundraising initiatives such as regular fundraising BBQ’s, annual RSPCA Cupcake Day stalls, market stalls etc and by conducting educational community sessions. Funds raised through the Community Volunteer Groups will be used to support local communities and animals right across NSW.

You will be a part of a very positive, encouraging, welcoming and supportive team leader who is truly passionate about helping others and animals. Our vision is that all communities are empowered to care for animals and people.

  • Your role will be a very important one in which you’ll oversee our volunteers who fill various roles.

  • You will assist with rostering, be the lead contact and make sure volunteers are trained, supported and supervised.

  • You will work closely with the Volunteer Support Team who will also support you in your role.

We are a Centrelink approved organisation meaning you may be able to partly fulfill your mutual obligation by volunteering with us.

RSPCA NSW is a registered COVID Safe organisation, and follows NSW Health warnings and precautions in regards to our staff, volunteers, visitors and daily practices.

Benefits:

  • Training and support

  • Inclusion in a local community team focussed on animal welfare

  • Interacting with a variety of people and animals

  • Ongoing support for other opportunities in the organisation, where possible
