The Boroondara Volunteer Resource Centre is advertising this role on behalf of You Matter.

You will help develop the social media strategy to grow our social media presence, working with members of the marketing team. This will involve preparing analytics reports evaluating the performance of our social media channels. Through these and other responsibilities you will get first hand experience to develop your skills in digital marketing, copywriting and content creation.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Assisting in managing a content plan for social media posts
• Assisting in designing posts, stories and creating video content
• Maintaining Excel spreadsheets
• Taking photographs at working bees and events
• Commenting on tags, liking and commenting on posts to boost engagement
• Sharing related posts from agencies
• Responding to followers’ questions online

Skills and Desirable Criteria:

• Demonstrated interest and experience in communications and marketing, especially social media

• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Degree or qualification in marketing (Desirable but not necessary)
• Experience in managing multiple social media platforms and developing a marketing strategy and/or content plan
• Prior experience in digital marketing
