Volunteer West is advertising this position on behalf of Australian Integrated Fijian Association of Victoria (AIFAV)

Our objective is to connect people and communities whilst promoting diversity, multiculturalism and cohesion. To this end, we hold regular cultural events, celebrations, festivals and workshops throughout the year (approximately once per month) and we’re looking for a volunteer to assist us at these events, especially with setting up and packing down. This is a great opportunity for someone who is outgoing, sociable and thrives on meeting new people and pitching in wherever you’re needed!

This role may be suitable for someone with a disability or someone who wants to improve their English skills, we are happy to talk with you about your needs.

Tasks will include:

• Assisting with setting up tables and chairs (some lifting required within limits)
• Packing and unpacking
• Physical work on the day
• Other tasks as needed

We’re looking for someone who:

• Loves giving things a try
• Enjoys pitching in and helping out
• Is punctual and reliable
