Founded in 2017 by Melissa Williams, Corethics is an independent not-for-profit established to create sustainable and thriving communities in the developing world.

We partner with trusted community organisations working on the ground to tackle some of the most complex issues affecting human society and the environment.

Our Bali, Indonesia Program consists of our Waste 4 Wealth intiiative. #waste4wealth tackles an "invisible" threat to human and environmental health - toxic chemical pollution from industry. Through circular wastewater treatment solutions, innovation can transform communities free from the edges of poverty.

About the role

We are looking for passionate and motivated social media marketing volunteers to help bring our campaigns alive! This is a remote position and we welcome applicants from across the world. We currently have several positions on offer.

We hope this experience will either catapult you into the not-for-profit sector or give you the satisfaction of sharing your skills to benefit local communities in Bali and help them overcome their water crisis. Maybe both!

Volunteer Responsibilities

Working at the direction of the Social Media Coordinator and with the support of our Volunteer Coordinators, social media volunteers will create, edit, and schedule content using Canva to Facebook and Instagram using Facebook scheduler and LinkedIn via Hootsuite.

This role will require you to allocate around 5-10 hours per week depending on your expertise. You will share the workload with at least 2 other volunteers to ensure you keep your work-life in balance.

Volunteers must commit to a least one scheduled post per week.

###Eligibility Criteria

  • Proven ability to create social media content for Facebook, Instagram and LInkedIn whether at an early—stage in your career (students very welcome), mid-career or well seasoned porfessional
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Honest, diligent, and able to work autonomously
  • Proficiency in English
  • Uphold Corethics pillars sustainability, empowerment, equity, and ethics both within the team and through their work
  • An interest in international development, the not-for-profit sector, and/or Indonesia and its development context
