Uniting Social Support Program connects people to the community to support them to live a happy and healthy life. It assists people to keep doing the things they love!

Andrea* enjoys gardening, cooking and music! She seeks a patient and understanding volunteer with an interest in morning melodies to support her to reconnect with her interests and community.

The selected applicant will have effective communication skills and an ability to creatively reconnect Andrea to her interests. Visits may include accompanying Andrea to Morning Melodies or on outings to coffee shops, neighborhood houses or the Library.

You will hold a valid Australian driver’s license and have access to a car that you will be prepared to transport Andrea* in during visits. The confidence to work independently is a must.

As a valued member of the Social Support Team, you will have access to ongoing training and development, opportunities to meet new people and develop new skills, and support from a dedicated volunteer coordinator throughout your volunteer journey. You will be volunteering to inspire people, enliven communities and confront injustice to make an impact in your community.
