Your empathy with the aged & those who are socially isolated, strong interpersonal & organisational skills, & ability to communicate with people from a variety of backgrounds are needed in this role. You'll be knowledgeable in various genres of music & skilled in playing any musical instrument (suitable for elderly people). You'll visit people living in their own home or in aged care, supporting them to increase their social interactions & emotional wellbeing through the provision of music.

You'll make new friendships, broaden your skills, and make a connection that can enrich your life as well as brighten the life of an older person. You'll join a dedicated group of volunteers working with this well-renowned organisation, helping members of your local community to increase their connection with the community. This role is available across the all regions of the Hunter.

You'll receive an induction and ongoing training, supervision, and support. You'll need to complete some simple learning modules. A commitment of 12 months or more is desired due to the training received. A National Criminal Check is required prior to commencement and will be arranged and paid for by the organisation. A current Working with Children Check is also required, as well as a current flu vaccination.
