The program
The Playscheme Program aims to lift the spirits of hospitalised children and their parents. The role of the Playscheme Volunteer Coordinator oversees and joins in with the volunteers who provide activities for the children at Coffs Harbour Health Campus and also encouragement and support to their parents.
The opportunity
As a volunteer coordinator in this program, you will have the opportunity to organise and work with other team members to provide a safe and supportive environment for hospitalised children and their parents. Your strong admin skills and ability to empathise with and understand the needs of children and families in a hospital setting will enable you to help lighten tough times for both the children and parents.
The impact
As Playscheme Volunteer Coordinator, you will help a team of volunteers to provide parents with a much needed break while engaging in activities with the children. Red Cross will ensure you have training, ongoing support and access to other opportunities within the World’s largest humanitarian network.
