Focus areas of the financial literacy program will include the following; Planning and budgeting, understanding financial paperwork, credit providers, dealing with debt, rights and responsibilities and planning for the future. You will be supported and guided throughout the program, working as part of a team of financial literacy facilitators. Following a detailed referral from a participating agency, consultation sessions are undertaken with the client to work through the area/s of support required. Group information sessions are also held in conjunction with partner agencies. Opportunities are available to undertake prescribed financial literacy training to enhance your ability to perform this volunteer role.
