An administration assistant is required one day a week (flexible hours) at the Not-For-Profit environmental organisation, PlantingSeeds Projects, to work with the manager of the organisation’s flagship project, the B&B Highway.

The B&B Highway is a biodiversity initiative that aims to regenerate the urban environment through firstly, the placement of pollinator habitats in strategic locations and secondly, education. Primarily working in schools (from pre-schools to high schools), the project has grown substantially over the last 18 months.

Assistance is needed with the following tasks:

• Responding to enquiries • Scheduling for school visits with the B&B Highway educators and habitat experts • Co-ordinating follow-up visits for assessments and stingless hive splits • Providing follow-up information including regular email updates to locations • Maintaining a database of contact details; and • Spreadsheet management

The organisation works from a Sydney city office on a Tuesday and this position would benefit from the individual spending a few hours with the team on a weekly basis. Many tasks can also be managed from home.

This position would suit an individual who is passionate about biodiversity and the environment and enjoys working with a dynamic team of 10 to 20 individuals. Good communication and organisational skills are required.
