Due to retirement of two of our Board Members, we're seeking new additions to this meaningful Board Member opportunity:

Executive Board Director / Voluntary Role

  • Being part of making a positive difference in the community.
  • Ensure transparency, oversee governance, manage & offer objective guidance to Yogazeit
  • Emerging Not for Profit focused on Mindful Movement Education to empower Social Emotional Wellbeing for underserved communities

About us: We’re a Fremantle based NFP/Charity dedicated to empowering and educating underserved communities with Yoga and Mindfulness education. We focus on collaborating with schools and communities in Perth metro and regional/remote WA supporting with evidence-based, trauma-informed mental, physical and social health and wellness initiatives.

Board Director Responsibilities:

  • Promote the organisation in the community as opportunities arise.
  • Assist with seeking funding and grants, and working towards funding for staff.
  • Optimise the organisation’s performance and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Follow good governance.
  • Contribute to strategic planning.
  • Contribute to an annual review of the performance of the board and take steps to improve its performance.

Additional time and assistance with funding and fundraising projects, applying for grants, as well as contributions in research and planning. Those with additional skills and enthusiasm to assist with NFP law, public relations, media, and advocacy projects are also sought.

Some board members also contribute to volunteering tasks supporting event management, outreach programs in remote communities, community Yoga Classes, public relations, research, and other tasks that they have an interest in or where some extra hands are needed. This suits those who want some variety and have varied interests outside of governance.
