Social visitor for Residential Aged Care - Greek speaking

This role gives you the opportunity to brighten the life of an older Greek speaking person by visiting them regularly at a Residential Aged Care Home, as part of the Community Visitors Scheme run by Catholic Healthcare.
As a volunteer you will commit to visiting a client a least once a fortnight for around 1-2 hours. Visits are spent doing an enjoyable activity such as going for a short walk, catching up for a coffee/tea, crafting, knitting, watching TV, discussing shared interests and/or culture. It is essential that you speak Greek (or are learning the language) for this role. When matching with a community member we try to keep in mind your interests and availability to try and ensure you both enjoy the visits as much as each other. Sharing your time and interests with an older community member will help enhance their mental, physical, and emotional wellbeing.
