Driver and Transport Support Volunteers provide an essential link for Residents to keep in touch with their local community's events, business, cultural and entertainment facilities. The role includes:

• assisting staff with preparing for outings
• checking fleet vehicles to ensure they are safe, clean and ready for use
• assisting Residents on and off vehicles
• ensuring Residents adhere to all road traffic safety requirements ie wearing seat belts etc
• assisting staff with paperwork required for outings
• cleaning & refueling of vehicles after outings

Skills and experience required for Driver and Transport Support Volunteers are:

• Friendly & polite nature
• Reliable
• Drivers license (essential)
• Small Bus License (desirable)
• Safe driving record
• able to work independently
• admin & paper work ability
• interest in the well being of older people
