Sydney Multicultural Community Services, the Community Visitors Scheme (CVS) program is now Aged Care Volunteer Visitors. The program serves culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) residents who may be isolated by limited family support and language or cultural barriers.

Sydney MCS recruits, trains and supports volunteers to visit eligible residents either in an aged care facility or at home. The Volunteer Community Visitor is matched with a Community Resident according to language and cultural background. We highly value our wonderful volunteers.

Essential Criteria: • Respect the rights of the client, including confidentiality, and privacy and maintain dignity. • Exercise a duty of care at all times. • Communication skills (listening and speaking skills). • Emotional qualification skill, team work, reporting skill, community services skill and other skills which will be helpful in assisting the seniors and the elderly.

Requirements: • Third COVID-19 vaccine is MUST. • Complete a mandatory Police Check. • Inductions and online training will be provided by Sydney MCS.
