Sydney Multicultural Community Services, the Community Visitors Scheme (CVS) program is funded by the Department of Social Services (DSS) and initiated by Department of Health. The program serves culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) residents, who may be isolated by limited family support, language and cultural barriers. Sydney MCS recruits, trains and supports volunteers to visit eligible residents either in an aged care facility or at home.

We seek a Croatian/Serbian speaking male/female volunteers to visit a client at home in Stanmore and at the facility in Strathfield NSW. Your help will significantly reduce a client's isolation and increase his/her quality of life. We highly valued our wonderful volunteers.

Essential Criteria: • Respect the client's rights including confidentiality, privacy and maintain dignity. • Exercise a duty of care at all times. • Communication skills (listening and speaking skills). • Emotional qualification skill, team work, reporting skill, community services skill and other skills which will be helpful in assisting the seniors and the elderly.

Requirements: • Covid-19 vaccine is a MUST. • Complete a mandatory Police check. • Inductions and online training will be provided by Sydney MCS.
