Program and Scholarship Customer Service Administration and volunteers participate primarily in handling customer phone and email queries. In addition, utilising the CRM data base to enter and manage important data, plus other administrative tasks may include screening documents for child protection issues etc. The position has a strong focus on digital and telephone administration functions that support The Smith Family’s programs including but not limited to iTrack, Digital Access Program, Student 2 Student and the Learning for Life scholarship.

Through this role, volunteers provide critical background support for the educational and social development of disadvantaged young Australians to succeed at school, so they can create better futures for themselves.

Key responsibilities: • Utilising CRM data base to review, enter and manage important data • Responding to phone enquiries from families and program participants needing support • Actioning and responding to email enquiries • Reviewing and screening documents for child protection issues • General administrative duties, • Data entry and Excel spreadsheet management Essential Competencies / Skills: • Strong computer skills including database management and using current Microsoft Office programs • Highly effective customer service and interpersonal skills • Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written High level of attention to detail • Ability to multitask and work to tight deadlines • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment

Desirable Experience / Education: • Experience in a similar position providing customer service and administrative assistance within a professional and confidential environment • Related Educational studies e.g. human resources, business administration. • Experience using Excel and Outlook programs • Awareness of the community and education services sector and issues affecting disadvantaged people Screening requirements – • Police Check • Working with Children Check Card • 2 x Reference Checks
