Uniting AgeWell provides a door-to-door transport service to people who have no means of transport to appointments. Uniting AgeWell are in need of reliable drivers to transport older people and those with disabilities or chronic medical conditions to and from health, medical or recreational appointments/activities. This is a flexible and rewarding role that will allow you to make a valuable contribution to the local Ballarat/Ararat community. You will get to enjoy sharing lively conversation during each commute and have a meaningful impact on the wellbeing of another person! A Uniting AgeWell fleet vehicle will be supplied for your use.

Requirements • Must have full Driver’s License and good driving history. • Drivers will need to have a positive disposition and excellent communication skills. • Ability to move mobility aids in and out of the car (not wheelchairs) • Minimum availability 1/2 day per week (4-hours) full day shifts are also available (8 hours) • All transport takes place during weekdays. If you have some time to give and enjoy driving, this is the volunteer role for you!
