Walking SA is the peak not-for-profit body for all forms of walking in South Australia. We are looking for someone to assit with:

  • assist in developing and implementing a communications strategy designed to streamline and enhance communications internally and externally
  • coordinate & schedule social media posts (Facebook, Instagram & LinkedIn): liaise with board members, hiking clubs, local government and other stakeholders to identify relevant content
  • write/create/coordinate a variety of different content to support communications and marketing efforts, including social media posts/videos/reels/stories, newsletter items, website copy, and media releases
  • monitor analytics and create reports detailing the successes and failures of communications campaigns and strategies
  • make recommendations for adjustments to communications strategies and practices

Ideal skills and experience

  • experience in a communications or marketing role
  • strong time management and organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • exceptional writing and interpersonal communication skills
  • ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • competent in current social media platforms (especially Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn)
