Due to increased workload and projects going on, a growing team size, as well as ill health among our volunteers, we are looking for an individual who can assist us as an Admin Officer. You will be task sharing with another Admin Officer as well as working on separate tasks.

As an Admin Officer, you might assist us with general admin and record keeping tasks such as:

  • Data entry, such as CRM.
  • Web research on various topics and collating information.
  • Submitting and signing forms and applications, and record keeping.
  • Create, edit, and file documents.
  • Organising data in spreadsheets and documents.
  • Assist with various database tasks such as sorting and comparing data.
  • Drafting templates, responses, and materials for correspondence, materials, and information packages, as needed.
  • Scanning and printing, as needed, if based locally.
  • Other light administrative tasks, as needed or where you wish to assist.

This is an easy and light role, with minimal burden or stress for the right person. Strong customer service and communication skills, as well as proficiency with cloud based services and computers is a must. The role is mostly autonomous and working your way through checklists and to do lists, with adequate guides provided to support you, so someone who knows their way around a computer in a speedy manner will find this a simple role.

Hours Hours are estimated to be 2 hours per day, or 10 hours per week. There are no set working days or hours. This role is online-based, so you can hop online when you have some time to contribute.

Location This is an online based role. We have an office in Nedlands which you are welcome to commute to and work in for 1 or 2 days a week.

Requirements

  • Compassion and understanding for those with a chronic illness or disability.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with cloud based services and computers is a must.
  • Excellent written and verbal english for emails and phone calls.
  • Good reading, writing, and research skills.
  • Accurate record keeping skills.
  • Experience with data entry and management.
  • Fast learner and proficient with cloud-based software.
  • MS Office suite skills.

Since 1997, our charity has supported those in Western Australia with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, and now also Lyme disease. We are an unfunded and all-volunteer-run organisation.

This position is an unpaid volunteer position. You will be contributing to helping us make a difference in the lives of others, while gaining career experience, and may also receive a Letter of Recommendation to assist you in your future career aspirations. The role might assist someone who is looking to add experience to their resume, or with a casual or part time job and looking to find something new to do outside of that.
