NSW State Emergency ServiceThe NSW State Emergency Service is an emergency service made up almost entirely of volunteers and supported by a small staff contingent. NSW SES is a key influencer of other emergency service agencies and works closely with these partners to modernise and grow volunteering to save live and protect communities. While major responsibilities are for flood, storm operations and tsunamis, the NSW SES also provides support services to other emergency services such as NSW Police in the conduct of general land rescue operations. Strong leadership skills, experience with people management, as well as communication and decision making skills are key to success in this role. It is a command management role
