Driver and Transport Support Volunteer
ACH Group - MilparaThe role includes:
- Assisting staff with preparing for outings
- Checking fleet vehicles to ensure they are safe, clean and ready for use
- Assisting Residents on and off vehicles
- Ensuring Residents adhere to all road traffic safety requirements i.e. wearing seat belts etc
- Assisting staff with the paperwork required for outings
- Cleaning & refuelling of vehicles after outings
Suitable for: Centrelink Volunteers, Skilled Volunteers
Commitment: Regular - more than 6 months
Training: COVID-19; WH&S; ACH New Volunteer Training; ACH Driver Training; Induction
Time required: Between 2 to 4 hours per trip, weekdays, some weekends - subject to Social Outings Schedule
Skills and experience required for Driver and Transport Support Volunteers are:
- Friendly & polite nature
- Reliable
- Drivers license (essential)
- Small Bus License (desirable)
- Safe driving record
- Able to work independently
- Admin & paper work ability
- Interest in the well being of older people
- Traffic Check
- Annual Flu Vaccination
- COVID-19 Vaccination
