Role Purpose

To provide a welcoming experience for visitors to Mamre House and Farm. Meet and greet clients, answer phones and emails, take bookings and provide administration support to staff on site.

Key Responsibilities

• Greeting of all clients both for CatholicCare and others that use the site

• Assist in the opening and closing of the site and basic housekeeping

• Ensure donations are appropriately receipted and secure

• Answering phones and emails, making bookings

• Participate in site activities as required

• Work with minimal supervision but also well with others

• Attend volunteer meetings and training as required

• Abide by CatholicCare’s Code of Conduct particularly in relation to client interactions, privacy and confidentiality

• Promote a positive relationship between all staff

• Follow relevant policies and procedures including safe work practices and take reasonable care of own and others health, safety and wellbeing

• Work in partnership and consultation with Management for continuous quality improvement opportunities.

• Follow CatholicCare values, policies, procedures and statutory obligations

Knowledge, skills, experience & compliance – Required to perform this role

• Ability to undertake the duties of the role in accordance with CatholicCare's Mission, Vision and Values; and its Code of Ethics and Conduct

• Excellent and demonstrated customer service knowledge and skills

• Moderate computer skills, competent in data entry

• Strong phone and face to face communication skills including active listening

• Valid Working with Children Check

• National Criminal History Check • Understanding of, and ability to uphold privacy and confidentiality Personal Attributes

• Communication and interpersonal skills, including ability to communicate with all people across a range of diverse cultural groups

• Confidentiality of all correspondence, clients entering the site, emails and phone calls

• Demonstrated ability to use technology, including word documents, excel and email

• Positive attitude and friendly demeanour
