Creative Life welcomes and values the assistance of volunteers, who, by generously giving their time, energy and expertise, help us to bring art and people together. Being a volunteer at The Court House will provide the opportunity to look at, learn and talk about art with like-minded people and to develop new skills related to the arts.

As a Gallery Attendant you will:

• Have a keen interest in the visual arts and a desire to expand your knowledge and interact with art of different genres • Communicate positively with others across different ages, backgrounds, cultures and abilities • Direct visitors and assist with enquiries • Inform visitors about the history of the Courthouse • Be well presented • Handle the sales of artworks, using the procedures outlined in your volunteer induction • Be aware of specific workplace hazards | note any particular hazards associated with the current exhibition • Be familiar with the evacuation and emergency plan, and the location of the first aid kit • Contact relevant Council and Security staff for information or advice at any time during your shift. You will be provided with a list of relevant phone numbers
