The Boroondara Volunteer Resource Centre is advertising this role on behalf of Access Health and Community.

The Mother-Infant Group Assistant works in partnership with other volunteers in providing high quality care and supervision of infants (and occasionally older siblings) whose mothers are attending the PND Group (90 minutes) and to assist in the running of a playgroup following this Groupwork (30 minutes). The assistant helps also with setting up and tidying up after the sessions along with participating in a debriefing of the sessions.

Skills and Attributes:

• Experience in care of infants either as a parent, in professional work or babysitting
• Reliability and integrity
• A minimum commitment of one year followed by annual review
