This volunteer opportunity will help to Maintain the garden throughout our lovely aged care facility.

We have a small garden but very proud of it and also well used by the residents. The gardener has an essential role in keeping our plants alive, keep the garden tidy, talk to the residents about the plants in the garden, assist the residents in planting new plants/shrubs and give suggestions on what plants to purchase. We are looking for a gardener that has the patience to work with the residents and has a wealth of knowledge about plants

Redcliffe BlueCare Aged Care Facility has 96 wonderful individuals in residence. Ensuring the safety and comfort of these individuals fall into the caring hands of our 120 staff. You will be a part of this small community whose main goal is to enrich the lives of the people in the community. As part of the team you will come home knowing that you have made a difference ( no matter how small) in the life of our residents.

Tasks involved include: Keep the plants alive Talk to residents about the plants in the garden Assist the residents in maintaining the garden Keep the garden tidy Advise the Service Manager on what plants to purchase
