Shailer Park Girl Guides are seeking female volunteers aged 18+ to join our leadership team. As a Girl Guide Leader you will help the other Leaders deliver the weekly program to a Unit of 24-30 girls.

We currently have four Units that meet throughout the week:

• Tuesday nights from 5.30pm to 7.30pm with girls aged 5-10 years old
• Wednesday nights from 5.30pm to 7.30pm with girls aged 10-13 years old
• Friday nights from 5.30pm to 7.30pm with girls aged 5-10 years old
• Sunday nights from 5.30pm to 7.30pm with girls aged 13-17 years old

The weekly program includes activities from the 7 Australian Guide Program Fundamentals - Service, Outdoors, Promise and Law, World Guiding, Guiding Traditions, Leadership Development and the Patrol System. A weekly meeting typically involves a mix of games, Guide-led activities and Leader-led activities.

Weekly meetings run during school terms only with additional sleepovers, camps and activity days throughout the year.

Volunteers can either attend in Unit Helper capacity requiring only membership and basic safety training, or as a Unit Leader working towards gaining their Leadership Qualification allowing them to independently run weekly meetings.
