Tug Crews – Engineering

Sydney Heritage Fleet
Logo for Sydney Heritage Fleet

Contributing in areas of engineer (crew) and maintenance for SHF motor tugs.

SHF runs motor tugs and launches. These small vessels undertake frequent support work in and around the Fleet and additional workforce is needed. We seek people with backgrounds in maritime work, however diesel-trained maintainers are also sought to undertake maintenance and restoration work.

The tugs can operate on any day of the week. Maintenance is usually weekdays and Saturdays. Crewing can be any day depending on when tug support is needed.

Work requires usual steel-capped boots, working clothes and maritime industry qualifications. WHS training/inductions will be part of volunteering.

Volunteers are an essential part of Sydney Heritage Fleet projects – your contribution will assist restoration and operation of heritage ships.

Crews also accumulate valuable service time. Volunteers also enjoy the benefits of working together in a rewarding social environment.

You can not apply for this role as it is no longer available.
