In addition to being Gemma’s friend and enjoying social activities together, a co-advocate would be a stable presence for Gemma, ensuring her life runs smoothly and her rights are upheld.

Citizen Advocacy is a not-for-profit organisation funded by the Australian Government through the Department of Social Services. Our aim is to provide additional support to vulnerable people with an intellectual disability by matching them with a caring member of the community who becomes their friend and advocate.
