A buddy is matched with a person living with a brain injury and together, volunteer in a host organisation. The buddy supports the volunteer to engage in volunteer work.

Key Responsibilities

• Accompany and support a volunteer on a weekly or fortnightly basis to host organisation
• Support volunteer to accomplish workplace tasks as independently as possible
• Encouraging and promoting independence and ensuring the volunteer experiences inclusion and social aspects of the workplace
• Reporting any issues arising including potential hazards and risks
• Promoting positive role modelling to the volunteer and workplace community
