Canterbury Earlwood Caring Association Limited

Canterbury Earlwood Caring Association Ltd (CECAL) is seeking skilled Board Members with a commitment to working collaboratively to support the work of our service in the community, to compliment the existing Bord of Directors.

The Key areas of skill required by CECAL Board of Directors (BOD) at present are: accounting background, legal background, fundraising /sponsorship and secretarial support. Board Members are asked to volunteer for at least 4 hours per month. Tasks include reading monthly reports attending monthly Board Meetings ( the last Thursday of every month at 2pm-4pm) and assisting on Board Governance matters.

CECAL manages the Canterbury Earlwood Caring Community Centre which runs a neighbourhood centre information and referral service, day programs for older people and people with disabilities and programs for children , families and young people and community development projects.

Applicants who have knowledge and experience of working with community services, vulnerable populations eg: seniors and or children , youth and families and live or work locally, ideally from the Canterbury area of Canterbury Bankstown Council preferred.
