Lakeland Senior High School P&C Association - CVRC
Lakeland Senior High School P&C are looking for a treasurer—someone to take care of the financial transactions, including payroll, allowing the P&C to continue the great work they do. As a volunteer on the P&C, you will be a part of a great team, working together to provide additional resources and support to the students. You will use your skills in bookkeeping to support the necessary function of the canteen and uniform shop and make new friends along the way.
The treasurer ensures that all funds held and handled by the P&C are properly and openly accounted for and case books are kept, recording all financial transactions of the P&C Association.
The three main tasks are as follows:
- Bookkeeping tasks- such as writing out cheques, issuing receipts, conducting EFT transactions, banking money and data entry into software or spreadsheets.
- Financial management- assisting the P&C to establish and monitoring a budget and controlling outstanding debts.
- Reporting- producing monthly management reports for members, preparing annual financial statements including an audit of P& C accounts.
The volunteer will be working alongside the President, Secretary, appointed auditor and other P& C members as required. The possession of expertise with finance and report creation is desirable as there will be minimum trainingavailable.
