The idea from Alex is simple, yet due to the scale, we need your help to make sure the process runs smoothly to cater to as many people as possible.

As an Alex Makes Meals (AMM) volunteer, you will help give back to the community and support groups in need by providing meals to them and their family members.

We are currently recruiting volunteer Kitchen Staff for our industrial kitchen in Preston.

Kitchen Hands:

• You will help prepare hundreds of meals a day
• Clean and wash dishes
• Get meals ready for dispatch
• Correctly label foods
• Work in a fun and collaborative environment

You will need to have a Food Safety Certificate or be prepared to get one.

Shifts on offer are Monday to Wednesday 8am to 2pm at this stage

Chefs:

• Create a menu that meets the nutrition needs as well as being delicious and creative.
• Free to be flexible and take advantage of the products provided to them from donations and suppliers.
• Whilst a standardised menu is needed as long as the meals utilise the supplies and produce provided anything goes
• Often, extras like desserts and snacks are made to lift the spirits of the groups we help.

This is a great opportunity to network with others in the hospitality industry as well as have the freedom to try new things. An excellent opportunity to flex those culinary ideas, skills and experience!
