About the role:

The Senior Fundraising Specialist will be reporting to the Head of Fundraising to oversee all fundraising activities and initiatives. This role will involve building good relationships with prospective donors with the overall aim to increase awareness of the charity’s goals, vision, and financial needs. The right candidate will be proactive, with the ability to inspire others around them.

Job Description

  • Manage and coordinate fundraising and donor acquisition campaigns, as instructed by the Head of Fundraising, the Head of Marketing & Communications or the CEO
  • Support the achievement of the fundraising long-term strategic plan.
  • Conduct research on potential fundraising opportunities.
  • Identify and contact potential donors.
  • Maintain records of donor information.
  • Draft and submit funding proposals to potential donors.
  • Develop promotional and advertising campaigns to increase awareness of the charity.
  • Establish and maintain good relationships with donors, the public, and the media.
  • Organise and attend non-for-profit networking events with relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Understanding of Fundraising principles
  • Knowledge of the charity sector (desired but not essential)
  • Qualification in Public Relations, Marketing or similar (desired but not essential)
  • Excellent written and communication skills, with the ability to engage an audience.
  • Excellent relationship building and networking skills to source and gain new potential donors.
  • Enthusiastic and driven to make a difference!
