Vinnies Distribution Centre The Vinnies Distribution Centre sorts, prepares and delivers donated goods into Vinnies shops. This role is vital to keeping our shops well stocked, operational to generate revenue for our broad range of services supporting the community.

As a Distribution Centre Volunteer, you will play a central role in the operations of the Distribution Centre, making a significant and valuable contribution to the St Vincent de Paul Society NSW.

The Volunteer Role The Distribution Centre Volunteer will perform a variety of tasks including: • Sorting clothes and goods according to brands and suitability for resale; • Prepare and pack stock for distribution into our shops; and • Assist with cleaning and keeping the distribution centre tidy, whilst maintaining safe work practices. The volunteers we are seeking will ideally: • Be creative, fashion oriented, and have an eye for detail; • Be a people person – welcoming, encouraging and positive; • Be willing to work within the ethos of the St Vincent de Paul Society; • Be respectful of others and flexible in their attitude to work and the team; • Have good time management, presentation and organisational skills and use initiative to get the job done; • Be task orientated and efficient; and • Have a physical ability to lift clothing bags and bulky items. No experience needed as coaching and training is provided. We welcome those with previous experience in retail with knowledge of a range of fashion brands, to share their experience with their fellow volunteers in the Distribution Centre.
