Leading not-for-profit provider of tailored services for Multicultural communities is seeking volunteers for a variety of roles such as:

  • Calls and visits to older people in their homes and aged care homes (Spanish speakers required urgently!)
  • Helping with activities for older people in a group setting
  • Office administration
  • Marketing (Vietnamese and Hindi speakers required Urgently)
  • Aged Care Connect (Vietnamese and Hindi speakers required urgently) - working with older people to support to connect to services through My Aged Care

Social isolation and loneliness affect an increasingly large proportion of Australia’s elderly population. The Community Visitors Scheme (CVS), provision of social support in people's homes and assisting group activities are government funded programs aiming to alleviate social isolation within our communities by pairing people with volunteers who share a common interest and/or cultural background. Volunteers get the opportunity to change someone’s life simply by spending some quality time together doing something engaging or assisting with group activities. At this time, this may include speaking over the phone or safely face-to-face visiting. Multicultural Care will provide all the training and support our volunteers might need.
Visits will usually occur in an aged care setting, or in the clients own home, in Inner West, South West, and/or South East Sydney. Groups are located in Campsie.

If you, or someone you know, is looking to give back to the community in a fun and social way, get in touch!

People who speak a community language as well as English are encouraged to apply!

We are also looking for Volunteers who speak Hindi and Vietnamese to assist with our exciting new program Aged Care Connect. This program provides support to older people from multicultural back grounds to connect to My Aged. We are looking for people who speak Hindi and Vietnamese to assist with marketing the program to the community and volunteers to assist community members to connect and register for services

Office administration roles are also available in our office in Campsie.

You can not apply for this role as it is no longer available.
