During these challenging times we need volunteers more than ever, to support isolated people in our community to feel socially connected again. If you’re a ‘people person’ and would like to make a difference to the life of someone who is socially isolated we would love to hear from you!

John is seeking a Karenni-speaking volunteer to share stimulating conversation and a coffee! John lives in Werribee and would like to share conversation and a coffee at his home or a walk in the local community. A positive, outgoing, non-judgemental, thoughtful, patient, personable applicant would be best suited to John*.

The selected applicant will support and encourage John to achieve his social goals. You will also have the ability to creatively reconnect John with his interests, including gardening. Effective communication skills and the confidence to work independently are a must. Induction, ongoing supervision and opportunities for professional development provided.
