About us

Deafblind Association NSW works tirelessly to advance the cause of people with deafblindness by facilitating communication, providing individual advocacy, organising social events, hosting and attending conferences, lobbying government, providing education and networking with other disability agencies.

Location:  Concord, Fridays and outing on the last Saturday of each month.

About the role

Deafblind Association NSW is seeking a Volunteer &  Activity Coordinator to organise activities and outings for people with combined vision and hearing impairment (deafblindness).

Deafblind Association NSW is a social group and provides activities within the office usually on a Friday, and outings on the last Saturday of each month.  This role is varied according to the activity/outing.  Office activities are Technology support and craft, where volunteers assist people with access to their phone or tablet and give directions with any craft work.  For outings it is to guide people around venue and communicate as much as possible, it can also including driving a person to the venue (where possible if needed).

Requirements·

  • Must agree to National Police Check conducted by the Foundation
  • Must have a full Class C Driver’s License
