Nick* lives in Glen Waverley and likes reading the Greek papers, watching the news, current affairs TV shows and AFL (Richmond fan!) Nick would like to be connected to a Greek-speaking volunteer who would be prepared to provide home-based visits to share coffee and stimulating conversation.

The best suited to support Nick will be honest, friendly, engaging and positive. You will also have the ability to support Nick to achieve his social goals and creatively reconnect him with his interests. Practical communication skills and a willingness to provide home-based visits are essential. The skills and confidence to work independently a must.

This rewarding role will enable you to make a valuable contribution to your community and the social wellbeing of another person. Induction, ongoing supervision and opportunities for professional development provided.

**Please note that during COVID-19 all volunteers will commence their volunteer role over the phone. This will enable you to establish rapport and connection with your client and allow our elderly clients to feel connected to the community. Once restrictions have eased, the team leaders will introduce you to your client and face to face visits will commence.
