This important role within our organisation will be the first point of contact for personal surrender applications and enquiries and coordinating the intake process. This role will work collaboratively with pet owners, foster carers and other internal and external stakeholders to transition surrendered pets into Furry Friends care.

As the Foster Carer Co-Ordinator, you will be responsible for:

  • Responding to personal surrender enquiries in a timely, professional and kind manner
  • Coordinating and managing the personal surrender process, ensuring assessments are undertaken as per FFARQ guidelines and all appropriate documentation is complete.
  • Reviewing adoption applications and matching suitable families with FFARQ foster carers
  • Responding to all general enquiries in a timely, professional and positive manner.
  • Carefully pairing and coordinating the safe transfer of new foster animals into the care of an FFARQ approved Foster Carer.
  • Creating basic foster profiles in PetRescue.
  • Liaising with Foster Carers regarding shortlisted applicants.
  • Maintaining accurate records in the internal database and Shelter Manager.
  • Other administration tasks as assigned from time-to-time to assist the team.

To be considered for this role you will have:

  • Highly effective organisational and accurate record keeping skills.
  • Ability to liaise and communicate effectively with others.
  • Intermediate computing skills
  • Working knowledge of GMail and Google Docs
  • Ability to work independently, show initiative and work cohesively within a virtual team
  • Good social skills
  • Experience using Shelter Manager is desirable but not essential
  • Good socials skills and ability to build relationships with our Foster Carers.

The successful applicant MUST be able to attend a weekly virtual team meeting which is held out of business hours.
