We are calling for volunteers to join our team of Tech Mates working to ensure that all Australians have access to essential services such as Telehealth, as well as being able to order groceries online, and remain connected to family and friends.

A Tech Mate is a digital mentor that provides one-on-one support to help people learn about technology and use it confidently and safely. With COVID-19 we are taking our usual face to face support to an exclusively remote service via phone and/or video chat.  In areas that are safe and where support is available, we are able to conduct face-to-face sessions.

You don’t need to be a tech wiz for this role - you just need an understanding of basic technology skills and some patience! You could be asked to help out on a phone, laptop, tablet or computer.

In this role, you can make a difference in people’s lives by sharing your knowledge and offering social and digital support to those who would otherwise be isolated. There may be more specialised roles available to help Leep address specific tech needs during these unprecedented times, so let us know if you hold particular skill sets or qualifications. Examples include setting up and troubleshooting of residential internet connections, remote software, knowledge of Telehealth portals, cybersecurity, and multilingualism.

You can not apply for this role as it is no longer available.
