Key tasks and responsibilities Including but not limited to: • Creating a welcoming reception and engaging with members of the public in a positive and professional manner • Answering phones/door as necessary • Greeting Visitors, answering queries, problem solving • Preparation of information packs for classes and training • Taking enrolment details including cash handling • Scan and photocopy documents • Keeping office area clean and tidy • Special projects (as assigned by the Manager/Office Administrator) • General office duties as required

• Positive and flexible team player • Demonstrated willingness to learn and develop skills within a team environment • Commitment to BLLC’s policies, procedures and Code of Conduct • Ability to relate well to people from a variety of backgrounds including those from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, people with a disability, those on low income or unemployed, young people and older people

Skills, experience & attributes: • Teamwork skills with an ability to work in a small, vibrant team environment • Flexibility and capacity to adapt to a changing work environment • An ability to remain task focused • An ability to work independently and see a task, process or project through to completion

Other requirements: • Ability to commit to, and attend, regular shifts at BLLC • Orientation and induction training • Police check/working with children check • Completion of interview with the BLLC Centre Manager or Volunteer Coordinator • Ability to support and abide by the values and mission of BLLC • Complete a one-month probationary/trial period
