Role Statement The role of the Meals on Wheels volunteer is to deliver lunchtime meals to members of the community Key Responsibilities  To ensure timely delivery of meals  To report any concerns about meals recipients to staff e.g. if client appears very unwell or if they don’t appear to be home so that a welfare check can be done  Peers/Team participation Maintain good communication, and promote harmonious and effective relationships between the volunteer, staff and members of the community. Inherent Requirements CHRH has a duty of care to all volunteers. CHRH volunteers must understand and be able to perform the inherent requirements of the role (with reasonable adjustments if required) and that CHRH employees, volunteers or program participants are not placed in an environment or given tasks that would result in risk to your safety of the safety of others. Should a volunteer not be able to undertake any of the listed duties they must notify the Kitchen Manager immediately, and CHRH will assess the situation to ensure the volunteer is not at risk of injury. Role Title  Meals on Wheels Volunteer Selection Criteria  acceptance of HHS values, mission and vision  Current Victorian Drivers Licence  Good driving history  Good communication skills  Responsible and able to work effectively with minimal supervision  Ability to follow instructions
