Spanish speaking volunteers - to visit elderly at her home or at the aged care facilities
Sydney Multicultural Community Services Ltd
The Community Visitors Scheme (CVS) program is funded by Department Social and Services and regulated by the Department of Health (DoH). The program serves culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) elderly, who may be isolated by limited family support, and language and cultural barriers. The Community Visitor volunteer is matched with an elderly client according to language and cultural backgrounds and possibly other interests.
Visits take place at least once a fortnight for an hour or two. Activities may include conversations, games, watching TV, listening to music, reading, walking, or other activities depending on the capacity of the client. Visits take place in the client's home.
If you are interested in making a big difference in senior’s life and our community, please join our CVS volunteering team.
