Female Community Visitors - able to converse and write in Italian

Link Health and Community

Italian speaking female volunteer is needed to contact/visit  a lady in an aged care facility - Glen Waverley We have an Italian lady who would like a visitor for companionship who has an interest in embroidery, cross stitch, crochet or tapestry and having a chat. The aim of the Community Visitors Scheme is for volunteers to develop a friendship with a resident who has become socially isolated.

  • By befriending a resident and sharing life experiences you provide a wonderful opportunity for the resident to become connected with the community outside of the aged care facility.
  • You will be required to make contact in person or by phone, letters and or virtually i.e. Face Time.
  • Face to Face visits - at least 3 times each month for an hour; however many community visitors visit weekly.

All volunteers are required to attend an interview and undergo a police check.
