We're expanding our Perth fundraising team! We are looking for an Assistant Team Leader to help us grow our volunteer team.

About the role of Perth Assistant Team Leader In this role, you will assist the Perth Volunteer Coordinator to organise and support a team of fundraising volunteers to run events and market stalls in Perth and Fremantle.

Assistant Team Leaders are crucial to help The Orangutan Project grow and increase our fundraising, and with the Perth team going from strength to strength, the time to join us is now!

You will need to be available to volunteer for six to eight hours per month, including some weekends and evenings.

Tasks may include:

  • Assisting with recruitment and training of volunteers
  • Assisting with planning and managing events
  • Coordinating and booking stalls at local markets and community festivals

If you have minimal volunteering or fundraising experience, this role is a good step in your career and will give you skills and experience to help you achieve your goals.

Alternatively, you may have experience in some of the responsibilities of this role, and you're looking for a new opportunity. You want to use your skills and experience to help out with a great cause.

About The Orangutan Project Volunteering with the Orangutan Project, you’ll meet passionate people who are making a difference to help orangutans and the forest communities who share their home. Best of all, 100 per cent of the donations you collect go directly to supporting orangutan conservation.

The Orangutan Project highly values our wonderful volunteers and the enormous contribution they make. Our volunteers help raise much-needed funds and awareness about the urgency of conservation of critically-endangered orangutans and their forests. We are always delighted to welcome new volunteers to The Orangutan Project.

Our activities have positive flow-on effects that protect other endangered species such as the Sumatran tiger, elephant and rhino, as well as indigenous communities in the remaining rainforest of Borneo and Sumatra.

You can not apply for this role as it is no longer available.
