The Volunteer Playgroup Assistant role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth running of our busy playgroups which provide a service to a diverse community. The Volunteer Playgroup Assistant is responsible for supporting the Playgroup Facilitator in a high quality, fun and flexible playgroup environment for children from birth to 8 years in consultation with the Playgroup Facilitator and the Centre Development Manager. The playgroup assistant assists with organizing and facilitating early childhood activities at the Centre. It is essential that the Volunteer Playgroup Assistant is able to build positive and effective relationships with parents and children, staff, volunteers, user groups, other service providers and the community.
