Tasks: Assisting with many aspects of Kingston Toy Library's daily operations including loans and returns, cataloguing toys, registering new members, repairs, maintaining our high standards of presentation, minor cleaning, event assistant, assisting members to take loans to car, keeping the atmosphere bright welcoming & friendly, converse with members among other activities.

Skills: Basic computer, able to work with little help, and a friendly welcoming personality. Training will be provided to all volunteers as well an induction to Kingston Toy Library.

Time: It would be preferred that volunteers attend for one month minimum. Attending one session a week. There is some flexibility as to what days the volunteer can attend (within the toy library opening hours). It is expected that if you are not able to attend that you email the coordinator in advance.

Requirements: Able to provide a working with children check within the first 4 weeks of starting, if required. We suggest when applying for the working with children check card that you list the occupation fields 42 & 32 as they relate best to Kingston Toy Library operation. Resume with 2 referees.

Meeting for an informal interview with the coordinator prior to starting is required. Either a Monday 4pm, Friday at 11.30am, Saturday 12pm. Reporting to: The coordinator of the toy library who shall be liaising with the committee.

You will need to complete a short online questionnaire form which will provide KTL with details of your abilities and reasons for wishing to volunteer prior to starting.
