Social home visitor volunteer in the Broken Hill area

HammondCare Australia
Logo for HammondCare Australia

Volunteering with HammondCare At Home is one way you can give something back to the aged or frail in our society. Not only does volunteering have a profound effect on the person you spend time with, but you'll learn a lot and meet new people in the Broken Hill community.

Spend one hour per week or fortnight with someone who may be lonely or socially isolated. We are looking for enthusiastic and caring individuals who can sit and have a chat, reminisce and talk about topics of interest with elderly people in their own homes. You may want to spend some time in the garden, play cards, listen to music or do some arts and craft activities. Or perhaps go to a local coffee shop.

Successful applicants will be required to complete a national police check which HammondCare will organise and pay for. You'll need to be aged 18 years or older and have your own car transportation.

All HammondCare volunteers receive training and on-going support from a local HammondCare Volunteer Coordinator

When you submit your enquiry, please include details on why you're interested in volunteering.

All enquiries welcome.

You can not apply for this role as it is no longer available.
