Community Visitor Volunteer - Macedonian Speaking
Northern HealthNorthern Health is funded to provide a volunteer visiting program known as the Community Visitors Scheme (CVS). Our volunteers play a vital role in the lives of people living in aged care homes through ongoing friendship. Volunteer visitors make a difference by sharing stories; go for strolls or simply having a cup of tea or coffee. They may also listen to music, read books, watch movies or play games.
We have a resident in Epping who would greatly benefit from your friendship. They would enjoy a chat, to socialise and connect with anyone who can speak Macedonian.
To become a community visitor you would need to be warm, caring, friendly and reliable. You also need to be willing and able to commit to at least 1 visit per fortnight, for a minimum of 12 months. The minimum age requirement is 18 years of age. English and Macedonian communication skills are required for participation in the the program with this resident.
