Community Visitor Volunteer - Macedonian Speaking

Northern Health
Logo for Northern Health

Northern Health is funded to provide a volunteer visiting program known as the Community Visitors Scheme (CVS). Our volunteers play a vital role in the lives of people living in aged care homes through ongoing friendship. Volunteer visitors make a difference by sharing stories; go for strolls or simply having a cup of tea or coffee. They may also listen to music, read books, watch movies or play games.

We have a resident in Epping who would greatly benefit from your friendship. They would enjoy a chat, to socialise and connect with anyone who can speak Macedonian.

To become a community visitor you would need to be warm, caring, friendly and reliable. You also need to be willing and able to commit to at least 1 visit per fortnight, for a minimum of 12 months. The minimum age requirement is 18 years of age. English and Macedonian communication skills are required for participation in the the program with this resident.

You can not apply for this role as it is no longer available.
